Our Story

 We started our journey into the short term rental business in 2021, after selling our embroidery & screen printing company of 20 years. My wife and I have lived in Brunswick County all of our lives. As we get closer to retirment years, We wanted more time to do things together. The sand and sea have alway been part of our lives, we love going to the NC mountains, Florida, and any tropical island will do. Most of all we love our home town and our family.  2020 opened our eye to what is most importent, TIME. My dad was suffering from dementia, and The Salt House Cottage, our first bnb helped us to have time to help my mom take care of him untill his passing in 2023. He was the salt of the earth, honest, reliable, hardworking, and considered to be good and noble. We will always try to live by his example.
